If you happen to reside in the Washington D.C. area and are looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday night, stop by the Art Whino Gallery on Saturday, February 21, 2009, for the opening of a “One Out Of One Hundred,” showcasing the work of artist John Malloy. His work has been featured in Paste and Dazed and Confused, and he has published both comics and graphic novels, so you could say he’s pretty well rounded.
According to the artist, “One Out Of One Hundred” centers around “drug side effects as a metaphor for consumer culture’s long-term effects on the human spirit.” More than 40 limited edition prints and more than 50 original works will be on display at the exhibit and for sale. I wish we could make it! For those who do attend, please feel free to send us some flicks of the show. And for more of John’s work, check out his Web site, here.
