In 1945 Salvador Dali and Walt Disney began a months-long collaboration on an animated film. Unfortunately, due to budgetary issues, it was never finished. That is until 1999, when Walt’s nephew, Roy Edward Disney chose to revisit the animated cartoon, hiring French animator Dominque Monfrey to direct. The film finally met the public in 2003 when it premiered at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France as “Destino.”
