NY fashion week, I hardly knew ye.

Well NY Fashion has come and gone, and I didn’t write a thing about it. My sentiments can be summed up in a single word — underwhelmed. This season’s collections seemed uninspired and in the case of those who were inspired, it was unedited. Case in point? Vena Cava gave me de ja vu of the Spring 2007 Proenza Schouler all over again (not such a bad thing considering the Spring 2007 line was one of my all time favorites) but it wasn’t nearly as exciting. My steadfast favorites (Proenza Schouler, Oscar de la Renta, and DKNY) disappointed and left me wondering what will I wear come spring now that my go-to dressmaker is showing rose29_PORTS1961 pink floral patterns!?4_TULEH

On the upside, I’m lusting after the romantic hair and make up from Tuleh‘s show, and I’m head over heels for the shoes at Ports 1961. Karen Walker‘s multicolored polka dot prints must find their way into my closet, and surprisingly, Vera Wang really stole my heart with ethereally tough looks. Some other favorites include Ohne Titel, Cushnie et Ochs, Narciso Rodriguez, and Malandrino. What’d you think about the spring 2010 collections?

  1. I am lusting over the model’s hair color from Tuleh!

  2. I agree! I wanted more color, but I always want more color. I do love Karen Walker, always amazing stuff.
